In this teaching, I connect the Teruah blast of the shofar with the coming Day of YaHuWaH. a day of judgment, war, and deliverance. In the Torah we find the special command to memorialize an entire day of the teruah blast, this day is called Yom Teruah.
This isn’t about tradition or speculation. We read through the entire chapter of Joel 2, which begins with a call to blow the shofar in Tsiyon, warning of the day when YHWH's army is unleashed. This is the same sound that brought down Jericho and will one day tear down Babylon. We look at the importance of tearing our hearts, not our garments, returning to YHWH with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Joel says clearly: “Whoever calls on the Name YaHuWaH shall be delivered.”
We also open Zephaniah 1, which gives a heavy picture of what the Day of YHWH will look like . Then we connect it to Matthew 24, where Yahushua tells us that after the tribulation the shofar sounds, and the elect are gathered.
We look at 1 Corinthians 15 where Sha’ul speaks of the last trumpet, and finally we tie it all together in Revelation 19, where heaven breaks out in HalleluYAH as the armies of YHWH are sent out behind the returning King.
This teaching is a call to prepare not to escape, but to endure, to watch, and to be found ready.
