From the full length video "Yom Kippur" part of the "Feasts of YaHuWaH Series." In Leviticus 23, Yom Teruah is the signal, the awakening blast in the 7th visible moon cycle and just 10 days later, comes Yom Ha’Kippurim: the Day of Atonements (plural), also known as the Day of Coverings or Ransoms.
Leviticus 23:27 (excerpt):
"On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonements (Yom Ha'Kippurim)... it shall be a miqra qodesh"
Yom Ha’Kippurim (יוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים) = Day of Atonements / Coverings / Ransoms (plural form "kippurim" = multiple acts of atonement)
Miqra Qodesh (מִקְרָא קֹדֶשׁ) = Set-apart gathering or holy convocation; literally a rehearsal for a future appointed time. This miqra qodesh is a rehearsal for the coming judgment day, when YaHuWaH will judge the nations and offer final covering to His people.
Yom Kippur is prophetic. It's a time to gather, reflect, fast, and prepare our hearts for what's ahead.
We are not just commemorating a past eventwe are rehearsing for a future fulfillment.
