Did you know the Christmas tree has ancient pagan origins and is condemned by YHWH in Scripture?
Deuteronomy 12:2 (KJV): “Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree.”
Exodus 34:13 (KJV): “But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves.”
Deuteronomy 16:21 (KJV): “Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of YHWH thy Elohim, neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which I hate, saith YHWH.”
Yet today, churches display the Yule tree, Yalda tree, or Christmas tree on their altars, decorating it and even singing songs to it. The popular song “O Christmas Tree” comes from the Germanic folk song “O Tannenbaum”, which honored the everlasting fir tree for Odin and Thor during Winter Solstice celebrations.
This short exposes the biblical truth about Christmas trees: what many Christians celebrate as festive tradition is actually rooted in pagan idolatry condemned by YHWH.
