This video is a review of two different 24 ounce stainless steel insulated food jars. We compare the legendary Stanley 24 ounce food jar to the yeti rambler 24 ounce insulated food jar. Both of these stainless steel vacuum insulated food jars have a wide mouth at the top, and are made of stainless steel with vacuum insulation. The Stanley food jar is taller and narrower than the yeti food jar. In this video, I put boiling water into both of these stainless steel insulated food jars, and see how they do after five hours and then again after 14 hours to retain their heat. This will allow you to decide which one is best for your purposes. I found that the Stanley retains heat better, but the yeti with its wider mouth opening is a little bit easier to eat directly out of with a spoon. My research has indicated that the more efficient food jars have a two lid system, with a bowl that acts like a cap over a plug, and food jars that have a single layer of lid tend to lose more heat overtime.
