This is the first Yellow Jacket ground nest removal of 2020! This is a ground dwelling species of yellow jacket and being that this is still early in the season, the colony hadnt fully matured yet. The colony had about 10 - 15 adults inside and the queen was no longer foraging. I decided to relocated the nest to my yard, so I could film its progression throughout the course of its development.
it has been a while since giving an update on Humphrey and Miss Emily, so I wanted to be sure to include shots of them in their daily life. Though Miss Emily is still inside the house, she actually lives in the same room that I raised Humphrey in, only there is no piano anymore! Miss Emily's sister, Miss Mamie, had passed away a little over a month ago, but I will be having an update on her and how she died in an upcoming video!
