Hello friends, I will end the series of FM-comparisons with a very special and unique card. This one is from Miro, but its heart is made by IBM, and it is called the MWave. The MWave was a sound/modem combo solution with a very interesting concept - the multi purpose DSP that handles all its functions in one. It features a GM-compilant wavetable-synthesizer as well as an FM-synthesizer (OPL3-compatible). And it is the FM we want to take a closer look on today! As always, lets start with Inoid from Whales Voyage. It is a very nice FM-tune that was composed by Hannes Seifert on the Yamaha YM3812 OPL2 (Adlib, Soundblaster).
So lets keep in mind that the MWave does FM with the DSP - its pretty nice therefore, istn't it? But let us knwo your own opinion down in the comment section.
