Memories of Kiryu’s past life coupled with the media scrutiny of being a former idol linked to a criminal, Haruka despairs over the thought that the children at Morning Glory could be negatively impacted by this unwanted publicity.
Haruka painfully decides to leave the orphanage in order to unburden the children of her baggage and also to be closer to Kiryu when he’s released from prison.
Three years later, Kiryu is released from prison and immediately heads back to Morning Glory in Okinawa. After reuniting with the children, they inform him that Haruka is no longer there and that they’ve lost contact with her. He vows to bring her back.
Back in the city of Kamurocho, Kiryu searches for clues regarding the whereabouts of his former ally, Shun Akiyama. There he uncovers the Saio Triad, Chinese mafia who have overthrown the Japanese Tojo Clan in Tokyo.
Due to these events, Kiryu Kazuma, the Dragon of Dojima returns.
