From the moment the game starts with its iconic cold open—throwing players directly into the action without even showing the title screen first—you immediately knew this game was doing something different.
Then you had the roster.
Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke, Beast, Gambit… and even Magneto.
Every character felt unique, the visuals were incredible for the time, and the soundtrack and atmosphere perfectly captured that darker 90s X-Men vibe.
