I'm going through the top 20 Favorite Video Game Songs of all time as voted on by my community. This came in at number 7!

There's a certain relief I get when I'm doing a video game cover that the song is actually played and written for the guitar in mind. A lot of songs are really awkward to play because they were programmed or written for keyboard, but songs like the ones by ACE+ from Xenoblade are really rewarding to learn. The challenge here really came in the arranging. There was a lot of layers that I had to dissect to get not only a feeling of the original, but also to manipulate in a way that would work with my style. I didn't try to go all out and over metalize this one, but I still tried to fit the song in my usual style and think I came out with something really cool!

The bass in Xenoblade songs is super underrated and not talked about enough. It's really fun figuring out the basslines because they have a lot of really fun chord outlines I feel like are a bit rare in video game music. It's interesting too seeing how the original tracks may have been limited in their range on the guitars and getting to kind of go in a different direction with certain parts because of the added range of the 7-string which I did in the chorus a bit.

I took a lot of care as usual to respect the original feel in the first half and then went off with my own interpretation later into it. I hope you like it!
