X1plus community firmware was a big breakthrough for Bambu Lab X1 owners looking to take more control of their printer. Now they have improved things further with the upcoming release of X1plus expander, open source modules designed to let you take things to the next level. In this video, I take you through the hardware, installation and setup, then demonstrate two of the add on modules.
The hardware in this video was provided to me free of charge by the X1plus team for the purpose of testing and me making this video. I have given an honest account of what is working and what still needs improvement.
I am unfamiliar with Crowd Supply as a website, but my impression is that it has all of the same risks as backing a project on Kickstarter (although they do claim a 100% success rate for backed projects delivering).
