This part 2 video will review the US mainstay WWII Glider the CG-4A Waco Glider. The Glider was used to deliver troops and heavy equipment to invasion battlefields behind enemy lines. The Glider could carry around 4,000 lbs of cargo. This could include 13 fully combat ready troops, a jeep, or a 75mm Pack Howitzer plus ammo. The cargo would need to be positioned within the glider such the that the overall loaded gliders CG was within a small 10 inch band to maintain a longitudinally statically stable flight platform.
