Along with the rapid transformation of healthcare, digital health technologies have kindled a revolution in comprehending and rendering health services worldwide. Improvements in digital healthcare, such as telemedicine, medical research software, artificial intelligence, and blockchain solutions, are changing how patients are treated, increasing access to healthcare services and thus improving the quality of healthcare delivery, promising a brighter future.
Youth take center stage in digital healthcare as they have technological fluency, fresh ideas, and innovative perspectives. Through Youth participation in digital health technologies, they become the leading players determining the direction of healthcare in the future, closing the gap between generations, and encouraging the innovation process. Digital health is not accessible by everyone equally. Youth leaders will dive deep into digital health, looking into the broad spectrum of challenges, possibilities and good practices this field offers to promote more equitable and sustainable healthcare systems and how we can educate the upcoming generations.
Engaging young people as the leaders of tomorrow in healthcare decision-making at all levels is fundamental, the role of Youth in shaping the future of health and global health should be brought forward.
The aim of this session is to:
• Highlight the role of Youth in the Digital Health Transformation and the importance of Youth engagement in shaping tomorrow's Global Health Agenda.
• Capacitate and identify how digital health can tackle complex public health issues, improve health equity, build resilient health systems and achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
• Showcase different initiatives and the work that Youth-led organizations have done.
