To help prep for my Camp Nanowrimo revision project, I'm taking a deep dive into my characters - their motivations, relationships and dirty little secrets!
What am I looking at? First, I'm asking what each character wants, what they'll sacrifice to get it, what they fear and who they care about. After that, I want to look really closely at my antagonist and protagonist dynamic using tips from On Writing and World Building and The Anatomy of Story.

QUESTIONS FOR THE COMMENTS:
- Do you come up with motivations even for minor characters, or even just the minor ones?
- How deep do you go into character motivations? Once you know what they want, do you also ask why they want it?
