As a writer, and in real life, I struggle to let things go. I held on to my business for a good year past it's use-by date. I've held on to relationships that I should have let go. And, whether I'm outlining or writing, I struggle to finish projects.
I probably have a dozen unfinished writing projects saved on my computer, and potentially more on my old external hard drive in Australia. Some of them have 20,000+ words. Yet I never seem to get past the starting stage - Nanowrimo 2019 was the first time I'd completed a first draft in over 10 years.
And now that I've plotted out my next project, I noticed that none of my outlines feel DONE - all of them have gaps I could continue to chip away at.
So, how do you know when it's time to move on? How do you know when you're DONE with each stage of the writing process?
