A reference to the blasters' variable power settings used to adjust destructive output?
The existence of power settings on blasters has always been demonstrated implicitly through the variable (by orders of magnitude) firepower depicted in the movies and TV-shows, by weapons including the E-11 blaster and Han Solo's DL-44, but this is the first time they have actually been directly mentioned onscreen.
The official novelization of The Empire Strikes Back references power settings, and so do numerous visual guides and expanded universe sources. Nonetheless, it is nice to see them finally acknowledged in some live-action dialogue.
