Stormtroopers deploy from ITTs (Imperial Troop Transports).
The ITT is a 20.6-tonne repuslorlift powered armoured-personnel-carrier that is capable of a top speed of 150 km/h. The vehicle is protected with two forward laser guns and a single dorsal laser turret that can provide covering fire for troops. The entire vehicle is protected with blast-proof armour and the front of the vehicle is blast impervious. In addition to the main hatch, this variant of ITT has side doors that allow troops to exit from within the vehicle, allowing for rapid deployment.
There are six side doors and it appears that three troopers emerge from each one, while additional troops emerge from the rear hatch, so each of these ITTs most likely deploys more than 12 soldiers (it looks like there is a capacity for 15 standing troopers in each ITT).
Six of these troopers are partially-exposed behind the transports side-doors and may discharge their small-arms from the moving vehicle.
This model of ITT is different from the ones depicted in Star Wars Rebels operating in the Lothal system.
