► Business Email: thetrainerclub@viralcollab.com This was one of the craziest adventures I’ve ever done in Pokémon GO — I flew across the world to Barcelona, Spain to become the first player to hit Level 72! That’s right — using time zones, planning, and a little strategy, I managed to beat Niantic’s level-up time lock and finish the “Follow a Route for 7 Days in a Row” challenge before anyone else.
When I reached Level 71, I realized that one of the required tasks for leveling up was time-gated — you had to complete the “Follow a Route” activity for 7 consecutive real-world days. But since the game uses your local time zone to track daily resets, traveling east to a new time zone would technically allow me to start my next day earlier, reducing the total wait time.
That’s when I decided to go all in — I booked a flight to Barcelona, Spain, one of the best Pokémon GO cities in the world, to take advantage of the time zone difference and finish the task faster.
