It's a bench! At long last I get to glue this thing together and flip it right side up. Spoiler alert: it worked so the end result is just a bench.
Decided to go with West System epoxy. I didn't have any big gaps to fill, or need a ton or working time, but the bug damage does mean that I have some holes to fill and PVA glue just isn't a good choice for that.
