It's that time of year again, and I committed to making a Christmas present for a family member. This one isn't too complicated though.
I started with a large (1.75L) bottle that was "left over from something". Made a walnut base for it, topped with a brass plate and some rocker switches.
For lighting, there's a standard bulb on the top of the lamp, but also some blue Christmas lights inside. This looks neat, but it means drilling (Dremeling, really) through the glass. Always fun.
