In this video, we’ll see how I calculated the pieces to make hexagonal frames and the base for a hexagonal box. I don’t have a compass, but with a very simple trick, I draw the circle corresponding to the Beatles metal sign I want to frame. Initially, I planned to create a hexagonal frame in which the sign would fit perfectly. So, we’ll see how I calculated the wooden pieces I would need. In the end, I decided to make a round frame for the Beatles metal sign instead. To do this, I need to make two hexagons from which I will cut the round frame. In this video, I’ll show in detail how I calculate the necessary pieces to make the round wooden frame.
In addition, in the previous video, I cut some wooden pieces to create a hexagonal box with a lid. In this video, we’ll see how I calculate the hexagons needed for the bottom and lid panels of the box.
