I turned this Small Carvers / Carving Mallet from a piece of Figured Maple. It has a beautifully flamed section in one side. I finished it using Spray Acrylic Varnish. I made it, as I had little time spare between jobs and wanted the practice. I already have a few similar size Mallets that I use, so I will be using this one for a Giveaway as I am very close to 3000 Subscribers. I will be announcing the Giveaway in the near future.

I like the idea of making my own Tools, especially if it is a Tool that is not easily found or readily available. Handmade Tools give great satisfaction and for me it is fun knowing that I created something to help me better improve my woodworking experience.
