The Wood Yogi | Making a Stand for a Recycled Clock - DIY Woodworking Project @TheWoodYogi | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 9 hours ago
I bought a small clock for less than 1 Euro as it was reduced in a second-hand shop due to the condition of the vinyl box that holds it. The old box was badly beaten up, but I had the idea that the Clock could be put to use.
I selected a piece of Spalted Horse Chestnut to use for making the Stand.
I always take extra precautions while working with Spalted Woods. The wood has been drying for a number of years. I have a section of project woods mostly for making musical instruments. The off-cut from this projects will be used to make Headstock Veneers for future builds I have planned.
I finished the Clock Stand using Acrylic Varnish Spray and was happy with the end result :)
