This video begins with a few pictures of the brief winter we had here. Of course I picked those days to work in the shop; it was really cold!
This project came to be because I broke a saucer while cleaning out the dishwasher. So what do you do in lockdown times? Probably you can order a new set online (for big $) but as a woodturner you have other options.
So I made one out of Walnut. Of course you can make a saucer from any kind of wood as long as it is dry. A long video with a lot of rambling this time as I'm trying to explain what I'm doing. Probably not useful for everybody but I sincerly hope this may inspire a few beginners to make something other than a bowl. Finished with transparent laquer from a spraycan, pretty shiny!
