Woodturning is just one of the techniques used to create this thing and it is entirely made out of recycled materials:
- A piece of pipe found by the side of the road. (just spray-painted it Black.)
- A leftover piece of Chestnut from the Recycling Center.
- Recycled Aluminium to cast the Skull using the Lost Foam method.
- The M5 threaded rod was the only thing I bought specifically for this project. Usually I have some in stock but it turned out I had used it all.
The foam skull was bought several years ago - a pack of ten for a few Euro's - for me to experiment with lost foam casting. Lost Foam casting is already extensively covered on YouTube but if there is interest (from woodturners??) I can surely make a video about the casting process.
