This is the first video of a 2-part series in which I am rough turning a few Birch blanks. This one is for making a Conventional Style Bowl. Lots of deliberations and explananations for those who are interested. Depending on how well the drying process goes, the bowl will be finished near the end of this year or perhaps early next year.
In this part I am also showing a large Birch-Burl that was given to me last year. It has been drying since then and I would appreciate tips or ideas on making something out of it. Feel free to use the comment section for that purpose.
