I purchased this slab of what i was told was oak, turned out to be walnut to my surprise with lovely figure, and some burl. i turned it into a 12 1/2" x 3" platter. finished with Yorkshire grit, Yorkshire grit microfine and Hampshire sheen microcrystalline wax for an ultra smooth lustrous finish.
