in this video i deal with wood that i purchased from a guy in Hawaii, it was wet when i first turned it over a year ago and the weight distribution was out of balance so it was a difficult turn, i put it aside for over a year and it warped and cracked, now with my newer lathe i have better speed control so have been able to finish it, it was a long process so i am putting this video out as 2 parts, i hope you enjoy and get something out of it.
The wood was originally purchased September 23rd 2019 from Derek Bencomo of the big island of Hawaii
I have been woodturning since 2013, i love it as a creative outlet and the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidelines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
safe turning..
