Wood Turning Club - Spindle Turning a Mug Tree using a variety of different woods.

For the main stem I used Oak
For the branches of the mug tree I used Mahogany
For the base of the tree I used a piece of Beech

This was a really fun project, allowing me to practice my spindle turning and making multiple parts of similar shapes and sizes.

The Mug Tree has four branches and can hold six cups altogether with the top branches holding two each.

Using the different colour woods gave a nice contrast for the overall finished piece.

I finished each piece by sanding, applying Yorkshire Grit and finishing the wood with Wood Wax 22 from Chestnut.
