I was lucky enough to be given a banksia seed pod to turn and finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. It was really interesting to work with due to the holes all the way through it but I enjoyed it. I managed to make to pieces a ring box and a second small pot which could be used to hold rings and ear rings when you take them off. I used wood turning stick to give them a finish and they shined beautifully looking as if they were glass.
