It is somewhat disappointing when you take a nice 12" plank and decide to make a bowl out of it... only to find that it is cracked all the way through. So it is time to make a smaller bowl! Who knows... I may even be able to make four bowls now!
When you mix the spalting with the figuring, I find that the grain almost lines up to make a picture... a stream flowing along through the hills!
As far as my shout out is concerned... Cap'n Eddie is one of those guys who has been on YouTube for as long as I can remember and for all that time he has put out video after video,,, showing us different ways to use our lathes!
