So I made my Dear Aunt some Deer Aunt ler earrings! Light the house with these flashy beacons!

Ok that is enough of that!
Antler is another of those renewable resources that we as turners are able to take advantage of! It takes some doing... but these are laying out there waiting! I have only ever found a couple... the rest I have been given. There are many different types of antler out there as well... just like wood.... and even though I haven't tried ...
I would imagine that it would take different technique for each! Something new to look forward to!
For the markers in this I used some Playskool ones from the Dollar store but found that the Sharpies had better colour.
Turning the earrings has led me to believe that it must be time to start trying to make some smaller tools! The parting tool/ knife is a start.... but I'm sure that there will be others that show up along the way! There are a lot of spots there that don't leave you much room to put a tool!
So I guess that is all the natter I'm going to do this time...
but I am sure to start up again next time!
