A new milestone for women’s leadership, peace and resilience in Thailand’s Deep South.
On 26 March 2026, the UN Women Women’s Empowerment and Learning Centre (WE Centre) in Narathiwat officially opened, bringing together local leaders, communities and partners to advance gender equality.
The centre provides a safe and inclusive space for women and youth to build skills, strengthen leadership and access opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. It focuses on three priorities: women’s economic empowerment, peace and security, and digital inclusion and safety.
Part of a growing national network, the WE Centre reflects a shared promise: women and girls can lead, participate fully and thrive in their communities.
