On Demand News | Women Banned From SPEAKING in Public By New Taliban Law @OnDemandNews | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
Afghan women are singing in protest of a new Taliban law which from today silences their voices in public.
The Taliban set out laws which require women to conceal their face, body and voice outside the home in order for the government to ‘prevent vice and promote virtue’.
The laws were met with global condemnation with many accusing the Taliban of erasing women from public life and giving power to enforcers from the Vice and Virtue Ministry, which the Taliban have denied.
