A major incident has been declared after a huge fire at a tower block in east London.
More than 100 people were evacuated as London Fire Brigade responded to the blaze in Dagenham.
Two people have been taken to hospital, with more treated by the ambulance service at the scene.
“A number of fire safety issues” were known to officials and work was taking place to remove non-compliant cladding on the flats.
It’s currently unclear whether everyone inside the building has been accounted for or what caused the fire to start.
