The suspected gunman involved in an “apparent assassination attempt” on Donald Trump has been named.

Ryan Wesley Routh allegedly aimed an AK-47-style assault rifle through the bushes about 400-500 yards away from Trump.

The former US president had been at his golf club in Florida on Sunday when gunshots were heard.

Secret Service spotted the suspect and fired at the man before the 58-year-old fled, according to law enforcement.
