On October 18, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Police Officer Frank Losurdo responded to the area of First and Washington Street on reports of a person sleeping on the sidewalk. When the individual saw the officer approach, she became irate towards him. She was advised she couldn’t sleep on the sidewalk and would be issued a summons if she didn’t comply. She began to scream and aggressively approached the officer who told her she’d be arrested if she didn’t stop coming toward him. When he attempted to arrest her, she spit in his face. Police Officers Nicklas Valerius and Anish Bhisey arrived on the scene and were able to place the woman under arrest despite her trying to resist. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, throwing bodily fluids, and resisting arrest. She was found to have two open warrant outs of Red Bank. She was processed and released on a summons.
