From 1993 before WNUV became a UPN affiliate. WNUV began to step up it's variety of programming in the late eighties and early ninties. Before this it was a SUPERTV channel with little to no syndicated programming. Nightwatch was the channel's weekly late night movie block and they always used local scenes as the background to the titles and ad breaks to show that the channel was dedicated to the city it served for many years. The city by the bay....Baltimore.
