My version of Euthyphro's Dilemma - I even give it a new name - "Eurythro's Dillema" (pronounced it wrongly first, and decided to keep the new name). Either we have the sense for judgement of what is good or bad (objective, because it is not only personal, but is binding to all humans) from evolution and social life, or god has instilled this sense in us (subjective!)! William Lane Craig's answer - god is goodness itself - doesn't help, because it is we, humans, who judge god to be goodness itself (because we thought him up, is my answer :)).
Science isnt only mathematical equations. Biology and evolutionary studies are historical science and it has its own methods of discovering the best explanations. In the evolution of human beings, who are very much a social species, natural selection selects AGAINST bad mutations. It doesn't select FOR good mutations. People who thought it was ok to kill, or torture little children, for different reasons, did not survive to leave descendants, although some bad mutations got piggyback on the good mutations, to the present day. People who did good things for the people around them, were more likely, for different reasons, to leave descendants. Most of the people today are those descendants.
