Michael and I went on a hike in the snowy Bavarian Alps near our place in the German countryside. The snow looked like cotton candy on the spruce trees. It was the most enchanting fairytale land. After some time, we reached the view point over the mountain lake called Alpsee and we enjoyed the spectacular view with a cup of hot rose hips tea.
Mountains are majestic giant gods with wisdom of ancient eras. During winter they dress in a graceful white coat to protect the living beings on their back from the freezing cold winds that sing the giants and their residents to sleep to bring them a quiet time of rest. To wander through the winter fairyland of the giants gives you the feeling of being small but also safe on this magical earth.
Thank you giants of the Alps for having us that day.
