Almost 90,000 km on my Yamaha Tenere 700.
In a few months, I’m planning another 20,000.
Would I trust it?
In this video, I go through the motorcycle component by component and honestly evaluate whether I would rely on it for another long expedition. This is not a short-term review. It is a high-mileage audit before a serious trip.
I talk about:
• Engine condition at nearly 90,000 km
• Suspension, including the upgraded springs and rear shock
• Electrical system and wiring
• Exhaust and frame strength
• Bearings, swingarm, linkage, and common wear points
• What already failed over the years
• What maintenance will I complete before departure
This bike has already been through difficult terrain, long days, and heavy loads. Now the question is simple: is it ready for another 20,000 km in remote areas?
