This beautiful HY van has been sat in this unit for 8 years after an abandoned restoration.
But it hasn't seen the road in 40 years!
After months of rebuilding vehicle internals you’d have thought I’d be done with all that, but no!
Geoff had asked me right at the start of us moving into the unit if at some point we could have a play with his lovely little Citroen HY72 that he’d started restoring 8 years ago but gave up on.
It was all there, sort of, well not really, it doesn’t even have a fuel tank on it, but we were going to see if we could give the engine going again, seeing that this van hadn’t seen tarmac in 40 years I had my doubts…

These videos are made from drone footage and my Instagram story whilst away.
After dropping my Friends Steve off at the airport, I was back on my own.
But then George got in touch as he was on his own too for 2 weeks, so we met back up to have another hang out, found a perfect spot and opened the beers.
Soon enough we found ourselves travelling together, exploring all of what Italy had to offer... It had a lot to offer!

In this next addition to the Van Renovations series,
I go about replacing the ruined laminate flooring in the camper.
One winter and a lot of bad weather combined with a wet dog laying all over it at the start of the year had allowed water to soak in a ruin it.
So now its time to rip it up and go again, this time doing it properly.
