I arrived at this spot in search for a hidden beach I’d been tipped off about, secluded due to it’s difficulty to get down too in between two huge cliffs.
But there was a dirt track heading up before tiring to bushes and then the ocean.
Intrigued, I walked up to scope it out and past the bushes laid this abandoned viewing deck, all overgrown and forgotten about. With views as seen in this video, I HAD to get the van up here, but with a misbehaving gearbox it was risky. Reversing up was a no go and I almost talked myself out of it, but then I steered towards it and gunned it, the bushes scraping down the sides of the van. The bushes cleared from the windscreen to reveal a canopy view over the ocean. I'm tucked the van up this cliffside for 4 days, only disturbed by friendly tourists and locals all up for a chat and taking regular walks to the two coastal towns connected by a stonking cliffside walk or to the secluded beach.
I may never leave.
