Iceland is holding a referendum in August on whether to restart EU talks. It comes amid strained US relations following President Trump's threats to annex Greenland and mistaking Iceland for Greenland during his speech in Davos in January.
Iceland previously abandoned EU talks in 2013 after four years of negotiations.
Rising living costs and war in Ukraine have also helped rekindle the Island’s desire to join the bloc.
