The relationship between the European Union and the United States is being tested once again. This time, it’s all about Big Tech.
As regulators in Brussels tighten the rules on digital giants - like Google, Meta and Apple - Washington is pushing back, arguing American businesses are being singled out.
President Trump accused the European Union of unfairly targeting US tech companies after Google was hit with a one billion dollar fine for operating in a way that squeezed out competitors.
But Brussels insists it’s simply enforcing competition law against firms it believes have become too dominant.
So, is the EU protecting competition or targeting American success?
