What an absolute masterpiece.
Wild Rose is actually a level that I found in the Recent Tab while searching for newly rated Extreme Demons to try out a few years back. I played the level for a few attempts from 0% and loved the decoration of the first cube, so I looked the level up on YouTube and was absolutely blown away by every aspect of it. I didn't give it a shot then, but now that I've finished it, man it exceeded my expectations in literally every way.
Learning this level was surprisingly quite fun! Since the decoration blocks a lot of the gameplay in the level, I was expecting the learning process to be pretty annoying, but I actually ended up enjoying the process more than anything. Every part of the level felt very natural to learn, and every timing that I learned I was able to instantly get down due to how well it all flowed, which is such a rare experience for me to have while learning levels, so I already liked the level a ton by the time I started playing from 0%.
The gameplay man, it is genuinely amazing. As I just mentioned, specifically with the drop parts, each piece of gameplay flows extremely well, and even though it does take a while to get down, it's all SO unbelievably satisfying to play. I loved specifically 57%-100% unconditionally dude it might be some of my favorite gameplay in any level ever, it all flows so perfectly and has not a single chokepoint, it is just so unbelievably good. The very beginning of the drop was also great, it was just by far the hardest part of the drop for me, and since I struggled with it so much, by default I like it a little less than the rest of the drop, but it's not a bad part by any means.
The predrop of the level was incredibly easy, which, as I mentioned in my review, is perfect for how the song works with this level. I love levels in which the intensity of a song matches the difficulty of the level it's used in. Wild Rose does this perfectly, as the slow, relaxing parts of the song are the easiest parts of the level, while the fast, intense parts of the song are the hardest. Granted, the predrop was a little boring, but it's really hard to make gameplay that keeps you fully engaged with the beginning of this song so I really don't think there's any way to fix that, and plus I didn't really mind it being slow or boring at all, it allowed me to fully relax for the first 40% of the level which is so nice. This predrop reminded me a lot of the Fog predrop in that way, which again is a really good thing.
I really don't have many complaints with this level man it's just so good. It is genuinely one of the best levels I have ever had the privilege of playing, and I would highly recommend it to literally anyone who enjoys 2nd half heavy levels. Like I said, it can be kind of boring from 0%, so if you don't enjoy slow and easy predrops, or just don't have the patience for 2nd half heavy levels, maybe sit this one out. If you have any interest in this level at all though, definitely give it a shot, it's phenomenal :)
It's genuinely a crime how unrecognized this level is. It deserves so much more praise than it gets, and it's also a crime that this somehow didn't get Epic Rated back in 2.1. Galaxxyss and the team behind this level got robbed, seriously they deserve so much more praise for this.
Overall, this is an absolute masterpiece, and one of my favorite levels of all time :)
Small update for those who don't watch my streams, but I've started practicing Bloodlust recently! I currently have done the extension a couple times, and will upload a progress video once I have the level in 2 runs. Be sure to tune into the streams! They're gonna be fun :)

Surprise!!!
So I havent actually been playing Bloodlust like Ive been saying. In secret since March 17th, Ive been working on Crimson Planet. I have about 21k attempts as of rn and honestly Im kind of enjoying it!
My current progress on it is 30%, 20-52%x2 (not on recording), and 44-100%x3.
Expect streams of this throughout the summer! This is my big project, and Im not too sure how long its gonna take me, but Im incredibly motivated to make this my next hardest Extreme :)
