I wanted to write a story for each song on "Sampler Platter" and this one speaks for itself; I mean, it’s Kendrick, you guys! But honestly, I had a blast flipping this sample.
Again, one of the very few beats that did not change much during production. The original was so smooth and sultry, and I love how it completely transformed into a fast-paced hip-hop beat. That contrast made the whole process even more exciting, taking something laid-back and turning it into something with real energy and movement. Definitely one of those tracks that hit exactly how I wanted it to.
