One thing about hazbin hotel that i don’t think is talked about enough is the design of the hotel itself.
It has various elements relating to the characters, like sir pentious’s airship and alastor’s radio room.
One question i’ve seen asked around is why was there a ship attached to the side of the hotel? It’s a bit odd since there isn’t a character that it relates to
Well the answer is that this was originally meant for baxter. As i’ve explained many times, baxter was meant to be a main cast member. It’s likely that his lab would’ve been inside this ship. Since he was removed from the main cast, the ship just kind of sat there unused.
The only character that does use the ship is vaggie who sings on top of it and uses it as a lookout. This is because vaggie’s design was partly taken from another pirate zoophobia character called lollygag. Vaggie inherited her x eye, hair, body type and the fact she always carries a weapon around.
Personally i prefer the original hotel over the new upgraded one, but i’m interested to see if the new hotel gets additions to it’s design as more sinners join the hotel.
