Jax has a unique ability being that he’s the only character to break the 4th wall. So why does he do this?
In every episode so far jax has broken the 4th wall, be it him staring directly at the camera, or in the most recent episode where he directly mentions the viewers.
Zooble also asks jax to stop doing it, hinting that he does this often while off camera.
There’s a couple potential explanations.
So firstly there’s a chance knows he’s inside a show and that there’s people watching. He might’ve picked up on this through caine banning swearing and the other objectives during the missions.
On the other hand it’s possible that jax is breaking the 4th wall by luck, he doesn’t actually know if there’s anyone watching and just does it as a coping mechanism. Maybe in a future episode, we'll see him completely miss the "camera" and get annoyed at this.
Jax might also just have the 4th wall break ability since it’s a stereotype for sexymen characters to possess this, such as with bill cipher, sans and sebastien.
