If you skip meals to “save calories” whether it is for a holiday or any day…I hate to break it to you, but skipping meals tends to just make things worse.
When you skip meals to save calories, usually you end up so hungry that you end up not only making up those calories you from the meal you skipped…but then some.
For the same reasons you don’t go grocery shopping hungry, you don’t want to show up to an event full of temptation when you are ravenously hungry.
It is better to just eat your usual balanced meals beforehand so that you have an appetite but you don’t throw all self control out the window. 😅
So eat as normal before, enjoy the event mindfully, and then get right back to regular, balanced meals afterwards.
Don’t skip meals OR punish yourself after a meal if you happened to go a little overboard. Shit happens and life is short!
Do you find yourself skipping meals when you are looking to cut calories? Let me know in the comments!
