About a month ago, I decided to make a video about "Why I Love Lord of the Rings". But then life - and the weather - got in the way, and I almost gave up.
Then the sun came out, and I ventured into the great green yonder to finally film my video. But despite my original plan to film in a field leaning against a tree - like Frodo in Hobbiton - my fear of the zombie apocalypse and desire not to be coughed-at or sneezed-on by plague-carrying locals, made me confine myself to the safe, air-conditioned bubble of my car!
Thus, in a most un-Tolkienian fashion, I became something of a Top Gear presenter, speeding through the English countryside while trying to remember something - anything - from my LOTR research, and endeavouring to stay on the road and not run over any of the local peasantry!
As usual, everything I say is unscripted, unrehearsed, and based on the faulty memory of a middle-aged man barely holding on to his sanity. In this particular film, I am additionally focused mainly on driving, so please forgive any factual inaccuracies that may have slipped through.
